Patna: Three-Tier Security Protocol Ensured for Bihar Legislature Session Commencing on November 6
PATNA – In preparation for the upcoming session of the Bihar Legislature, scheduled to commence from November 6, 2023, to November 10, 2023, a comprehensive joint briefing was conducted today at the Vidhan Sabha premises.
District Magistrate, Patna, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, Rajiv Mishra spearheaded the joint briefing, providing crucial insights to magistrates and police officials deputed for the event. The officials meticulously reviewed the security arrangements to ensure a seamless and secure environment.
Additional District Magistrate, Law and Order, Hemant Kumar, and City Superintendent of Police, Central, Vaibhav Sharma, conveyed detailed guidelines to all deputed magistrates and police officers under the directives of DM Dr Singh and SSP Mishra.
Emphasizing a three-tier security protocol, DM Dr. Singh and SSP Mishra outlined the deployment of CCTV cameras and the functioning of eight Quick Response Teams (QRT). Magistrates and police officers are mandated to assume their designated positions at 9:00 am on November 6, 2023, and one hour before the commencement of Legislative Assembly proceedings each subsequent day. Departure is permitted only after the conclusion of the daily Legislative Assembly meetings.
To maintain the sanctity of the Legislative Assembly premises, DM Dr. Singh and SSP Mishra issued strict instructions to prevent the entry of unauthorized individuals. The responsibility for any breach rests solely with the deputed magistrate and police officer.
Entry to the Secretariat, Legislative Assembly, and Legislative Council areas is restricted without a valid entry card. DM Dr. Singh and SSP Mishra, accompanied by senior officials, personally inspected the Legislature complex, ensuring all security measures were in place.
The control room established within the Legislative Assembly premises will facilitate coordination between senior officers and all deputed magistrates and police officials, ensuring strict adherence to orders.
As a precautionary measure to uphold law and order during the Legislative Assembly session, Section 144 Cr.P.C prohibitory orders will be imposed by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Patna Sadar. The responsibility for maintaining law and order in the Legislative Assembly premises and surrounding areas falls upon the Sub-Divisional Officer, Patna Sadar, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Secretariat.
DM Dr. Singh and SSP Mishra have urged all magistrates and police officers to remain vigilant, prepared, and committed to ensuring error-free and robust security arrangements throughout the session.
