Patna: The Department of Communicative English and Media Studies at Patna Women’s College, an autonomous institution, organized an insightful and interactive session titled “Creating Effective Media Campaigns for Menstrual Health.” The session was led by Surbhi Kumari, the Gender and Communication Lead at SumArth.

The workshop began with an introduction to media campaigns and their objectives, focusing on menstrual health awareness, engagement, advocacy, and action. Surbhi Kumari debunked common myths surrounding menstruation and shared insights from her first media campaign, “My First Period: Story of Beginning.” She discussed the challenges faced by women in various villages across Bihar, where many still resort to using mud, ashes, and sand instead of sanitary pads.
