Patna Women’s College Hosts Joyful Christmas Celebration with Cultural Performances
Patna: Patna Women’s College celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm at the Open Air Stage Hall on Friday. Organized in two shifts, the event welcomed first and second year students in the morning, while third year and postgraduate students participated later in the day. The celebration began with a heartfelt prayer dance, setting a tone of spirituality and joy. A Hindi carol, “Bethlehem Ke Gaushale Mein,” enthralled the audience, followed by a vibrant folk dance highlighting the cultural richness of Bihar.
The centerpiece of the event was a skit titled Martin – The Cobbler, which delivered a touching message about divine revelations and the importance of helping others. The skit featured an English carol and an Angel Dance that added depth and harmony to the performance. The festivities concluded with an energetic tribal dance that left the audience mesmerized.
The principal of the college addressed the gathering, emphasizing the message of Christmas as one of hope and faith. The program was hosted by Roopam Kumari, Annet Anand, Mahrukh Firdaus, and Ahana Man Singh, with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Prachi Priya from the Department of Economics.
The event was organized under the supervision of Sister Anna from the Department of Geography, Frank Krishner and Dr. Tauseef Hassan from the Department of Communicative English and Media Studies, Runa and Enakshi Dey Biswas from the Performing Arts Department, and Kriti. Cultural coordinators Sister Celine Crasta from the Department of History and Puja Kumari from the Department of Commerce ensured the success of the event.
Adding a cheerful surprise, Santa Claus made an appearance towards the end, spreading joy and excitement among the attendees.
