Patna Women’s College Leads Mental Health Outreach at Local School
Patna: The Patna Women’s College Alumni Association (PWCAA), in collaboration with the Department of Psychology at Patna Women’s College, organized an outreach programme focused on mental health awareness at the Government School located behind Raj Bhavan Colony in Patna on Saturday.
Under the leadership of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of Patna Women’s College, and Prof. Ameeta Jaiswal, Chairperson of the PWCAA, the event aimed to educate students on the importance of mental health through engaging discussions and activities.
The programme was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Nupur Sinha, Head of the Department of Psychology, and Manisha Kumari, a psychological counsellor at the college’s Guidance and Counselling Centre. The students participated in a variety of activities designed to highlight the significance of mental well-being. Drawing and games were among the tools used to make the concept of mental health accessible and understandable to the young participants.
