Patna Women's College Students Capture Bihar's Women Through Lens in Powerful Exhibition

Patna: “The question is not who is going to let me, the question is who is going to stop me.” This powerful quote set the stage for an inspiring Photography Exhibition organized by the Department of Communicative English and Media Studies (CEMS) at Patna Women’s College on Saturday.

The exhibition, themed “Marching on Women’s Contribution to Bihar,” showcased the creative talents of Semester IV and VI students, offering a visual tribute to the resilience and achievements of women in the region. Through innovative and real-life photographs, the students presented their unique perspectives on the theme, capturing the essence of women’s impact on Bihar.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of Patna Women’s College, Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice Principal, Major U Sharma, Prof. Dr. Dennis Quilala, Head of the Department of Communicative English and Media Studies, and other faculty members.

The exhibition served as a culmination of the students’ learning experience, providing them with hands-on knowledge of fundamental camera settings, handling techniques, diverse shot types, and various photography genres. This practical application of their coursework allowed them to translate their theoretical understanding into compelling visual narratives.

Dr. Tauseef Hassan, Head of the Department, CEMS, coordinated the program along with faculty members Runa, Frank Krishner, Prashant Ravi, and Amitabh Ranjan. The exhibition provided a unique platform for students to gain invaluable hands-on photography experience, fostering their creative growth and empowering them to tell impactful stories through the art of photography.
