PatnaPress Hosts Engaging Teachers’ Day Panel on the Role of Educators in Modern Society
Patna: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Patna Press hosted an insightful panel discussion on September 5, focusing on the role of educators in shaping society in the 21st century. The event featured prominent voices from the education sector, who reflected on the historical significance of teaching and its relevance today in a rapidly changing world.
Speakers delved into the evolving challenges faced by educators, drawing on ancient wisdom while addressing contemporary issues. “We speak of Chanakya when we talk about the role of teachers in nation-building,” said IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav, who highlighted the vital contributions of Bihar’s teachers to modern society. “Today, they play a paramount role in building individuals and the fabric of the 21st-century society,” he added.
The session also heard from Professor N.K. Choudhary, who emphasised the importance of inspiration in teaching. “A teacher is one who inspires. Information can be provided by computers and WhatsApp as well,” he remarked, pointing to the unique value teachers bring beyond mere dissemination of facts.
Miss Priya Manish Kumar, in a powerful statement, underscored the spiritual aspect of the profession. “Teaching is the work of God, and students are children of the mind of teachers,” she said, encapsulating the deep connection between educators and their pupils.
