Patna’s ISKCON Temple to Host Grand Ram Navami Celebrations on Tomorrow

Patna: ISKCON Patna is set to mark Ram Navami on Sunday with grand festivities that promise a deeply spiritual and visually spectacular experience for thousands of devotees. The temple will celebrate the birth of Lord Ram with rituals, devotional music, and offerings from early morning until late evening.

At the heart of the celebration will be the Maha-abhishek of Lord Ram, Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman, featuring a Panchamrit bath accompanied by Vedic mantras. The deities will be adorned in jewel-studded royal attire, gold ornaments, and garlands of fragrant flowers, offering devotees a rare opportunity for divine darshan. The temple complex will be transformed with elaborate floral decorations and colourful lighting to reflect the sacred atmosphere.

From 4:30 am to 10:00 pm, devotees can participate in various religious activities, including Harinam Sankirtan—the chanting of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra—and spiritual discourses by acharyas and sannyasis on the life and teachings of Lord Ram. Conch shells, drumbeats, and traditional instruments will echo throughout the temple as devotees immerse themselves in worship and celebration.

A special feature of the day will be the grand Maha Aarti, conducted in the light of hundreds of lamps, accompanied by collective chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” A royal Chhappan Bhog—comprising 56 varieties of offerings—will be presented to the deity, followed by the distribution of Maha-Prasad to thousands of attendees.

The event is being organised by ISKCON Patna as part of its ongoing efforts to promote Sanatan Dharma and Vedic culture.
