Pawan Singh Faces BJP Party Expulsion Threat: RK Singh Asserts Upendra Kushwaha as Karakat Candidate, Warns Against Anti-NDA Stance
Ara: The announcement of Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh’s bid for the Karakat Lok Sabha seat as an independent candidate has ignited a fierce political storm across Bihar, particularly in the Bhojpur region. The move has not only stirred the electoral landscape but also triggered sharp reactions from established political figures.
In response to Singh’s candidacy, Union Minister Raj Kumar Singh, also the Ara Lok Sabha NDA candidate, unequivocally asserted that Upendra Kushwaha is the designated NDA candidate for the Karakat Lok Sabha seat. Minister Raj Kumar Singh went as far as expressing his intention to urge the party leadership to expel Pawan Singh from the BJP, citing his decision to contest independently as grounds for disciplinary action.
Minister Raj Kumar Singh emphasized the significance of unity within the NDA, declaring that any opposition to Kushwaha’s candidacy is tantamount to opposing the alliance and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. He reiterated that Pawan Singh’s actions are at odds with the party’s ethos, warranting expulsion.
Pawan Singh’s foray into politics began when he joined the BJP, with the party fielding him for the Asansol Lok Sabha constituency. However, Singh’s abrupt withdrawal from the contest raised eyebrows, leaving his party affiliation in limbo. Despite this, his decision to contest independently from Karakat has brought him back into the political spotlight.
With Upendra Kushwaha as the NDA candidate for Karakat, Singh’s entry into the electoral arena has significantly reshaped the caste dynamics in both the Arrah and Karakat Lok Sabha constituencies, injecting a new dimension into the electoral calculus.
