Jyoti Singh, Wife of Bhojpuri Star Pawan Singh, Eyes Bihar Assembly Elections

Rohtas: Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, announced on Tuesday that she will contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. However, she did not disclose the constituency she will be contesting from, stating that the decision will be made by the party.

Speaking at a press conference in Suryapura, Rohtas, Jyoti Singh said she is actively working in the Karakat and Dehri assembly constituencies. While she remained non-committal about her final seat, she emphasized that her political engagement in these areas is ongoing.

Jyoti Singh revealed that she is currently in discussions with several political parties but has not been able to visit Patna due to time constraints. “As soon as discussions are finalized with a party, I will announce my seat,” she said.

She made these remarks while attending the inauguration ceremony of a private school. At Bangla Chowk in Suryapura, she was warmly welcomed by young supporters.

According to local sources, Jyoti Singh has been actively participating in public events, including weddings and traditional ceremonies across villages in Karakat and Dehri. Her increasing presence in these areas has fueled speculation about her political aspirations.

When asked about certain allegations against her husband, Pawan Singh, by BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, Jyoti Singh chose to remain silent and refused to comment.

During the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Jyoti Singh had extensively campaigned across all assembly constituencies of the Karakat parliamentary seat, where Pawan Singh secured 2.78 lakh votes. Since then, she has remained politically active in Karakat and Dehri, strengthening her grassroots connections.

With Bihar Assembly elections expected in October-November 2025, speculations about her potential candidature have intensified within political circles.
