PM Internship Yojana: Bihar Gets 2308 Seats, Stipend Up to Rs 6,000 for Youth
Patna: The PM Internship Yojana has opened doors for young men and women in Bihar who have completed Class 10, Class 12, or graduation. Under this scheme, 2308 internship seats have been reserved for the state, with a possibility of increasing the number based on demand.
Internship in Leading Private Companies with Monthly Stipend
This government-backed initiative offers selected candidates the opportunity to intern with leading private companies across the country.
- Stipend: ₹6,000 in the first month, followed by ₹5,000 per month for the remaining 11 months.
- Duration: 12 months of industry and business exposure.
- Objective: To enhance employment opportunities for the youth by providing practical skills.
- Target: The central government aims to provide internships to one crore youth nationwide.
Patna Gets One-Third of Bihar’s Internship Quota
In Bihar, the seats are distributed district-wise, with one-third of them reserved for Patna.
Eligibility and Application Process
- Age Limit: 21 to 24 years
- Exclusions:Candidates from families with an annual income above ₹8 lakh.
- Professional degree holders (B.Tech, MBA, CA, etc.).
- Insurance Cover: Selected candidates will receive coverage under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana during the internship.
- Application: Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at pminternship.mca.gov.in.
- Nodal Agency: The Registrar of Companies, Patna has been designated to oversee the implementation of the scheme in Bihar.
