PM Modi to Visit Bihar on 13 and 15 November: To Lay Foundation Stone of Darbhanga AIIMS, Attend Birsa Munda’s 150th Birth Anniversary in Jamui
Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar in mid-November, with significant stops in Darbhanga and Jamui on November 13 and 15. The Prime Minister’s Office has reportedly approved his itinerary, which includes laying the foundation stone for Darbhanga AIIMS and participating in celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of tribal leader Birsa Munda in Jamui.
On November 13, as Bihar and Jharkhand voters head to the polls for the first phase of by-elections, PM Modi will officially begin the construction of Darbhanga AIIMS. The visit will also feature announcements related to infrastructure projects, including the expansion of national highways and the launch of water and electricity schemes worth over Rs. 10,000 crore. The timing of his appearance is expected to draw attention during voting for four Bihar assembly seats: Belaganj, Imamganj, Ramgarh, and Tarari.
The Prime Minister’s itinerary continues on November 15 in Jamui, a tribal district near the Jharkhand border, where he will commemorate the birth anniversary of revered tribal figure Birsa Munda. The event will include the unveiling of Birsa Munda’s statue, followed by a public address aimed at engaging tribal communities. In 2021, PM Modi declared November 15 as “Tribal Pride Day” in Birsa Munda’s honour.
With the timing of his visit aligning with the by-elections, PM Modi’s appearances in Darbhanga and Jamui are anticipated to influence the political atmosphere, potentially swaying tribal and rural voters in both states.
