Jehanabad: A police vehicle from Hulasganj police station ran over three youths in Jehanabad, leaving all three injured. The incident occurred on Hulasganj Gaya road when the victims, Vipin Kumar, Jagjivan Kumar, and Shekhar Kumar, were out for a morning run. They were initially taken to Hulasganj Community Health Center for treatment.
Due to the severity of their injuries, two of the youths were transferred from Jehanabad Sadar Hospital to Patna PMCH for better medical care, while the third is still receiving treatment at Sadar Hospital. The victims and their families have accused the police of being responsible for the accident.
However, Pankaj Kumar, the in-charge of Hulasganj police station, denied the allegations, stating that an unknown vehicle hit the three youths while they were patrolling the area. He claimed the police admitted them to the hospital after the incident.
Despite these claims, the situation remains tense as road accidents continue to rise in the district, with high-speed driving being cited as the primary cause of such incidents.
