Prashant Kishor Announces Continued Bihar Foot March as Jan Suraaj Party Launch Approaches
Jan Suraaj to Unveil Comprehensive Vision Document at Gandhi Maidan in March
Patna: Prashant Kishor, the convenor of the Jan Suraaj campaign, announced on Sunday that his statewide Padyatra (foot march) across Bihar, which began on October 2, 2022, will continue beyond the formal launch of the Jan Suraaj Party on October 2 this year.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Kishor revealed plans to release a series of vision documents focusing on development strategies, extending from the state to the panchayat level. These documents will be unveiled at a large public gathering at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, scheduled for either the last week of February or the first week of March next year.
Ahead of the October 2 party launch, Kishor clarified that he will not lead the Jan Suraaj Party. Instead, he stated that a more deserving and capable individual will be chosen to take on the leadership role.
Kishor also outlined plans to address one of Bihar’s most pressing issues—migration. A detailed policy document, set to be released on October 2, will outline a strategy to tackle migration, with the goal of resolving the issue within a year, should the Jan Suraaj Party come to power. According to Kishor, over 200 experts from around the world have contributed to the development of this plan.
