Prashant Kishore Criticizes Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s Visit to Scotland
Patna: In a fiery press conference on Thursday, former poll strategist and Jan Suraj campaign convenor Prashant Kishore launched a scathing attack on Bihar’s Chief Minister. Linking Nitish Kumar’s visit to Scotland with the state’s prohibition policy, Kishore remarked, “The only thing I see in Nitish’s politics is that this is the last phase of his political life. Beat them as much as you want, there are only a few months of politics left. There is no future left for JD (U) as a party. JD (U) is now coming to an end in Bihar.”
Kishore’s criticism didn’t stop there as he dissected Nitish Kumar’s visit to Scotland, questioning the rationale behind it. He pointed out, “Now look at Nitish’s words, your and our Chief Ministers have gone to Scotland and Bihar to bring investment. Is there only one industry in Scotland? Scotland is known for things things. You must have heard the name of Scotch Whiskey, so the Chief Minister of the state where he is talking about prohibition has gone to the place, which is famous for Scotch. So why has Nitish gone there? He wants to go to Scotland for medical studies, for this wool is also made there and it is not so cold in Bihar. Liquor is not sold here and no medical college is going to come from there to Bihar.”
Continuing his critique, Kishore raised questions about the efficacy of the Chief Minister’s endeavors, stating, “You tell me, after 18 years, you have got Scotland from all over the world to bring investment. Someone should ask that you are wasting 20 thousand crore rupees of the people of Bihar every year by banning liquor and have gone to a Scotch producing country for investment.”
