Supaul: “When the Jan Suraj government comes, there will be five important changes,” Prashant Kishore declared during a public meeting in Supaul. Through his padyatra across Bihar, the Jan Suraj leader is informing people about their rights and outlining the vision for future governance.
Prashant Kishore made five major announcements, promising significant reforms under the Jan Suraaj government. One of the key promises is the increase in pension for senior citizens. Currently, those above 60 years receive Rs 400 per month, but from December 2025, this will be raised to Rs 2,000.
He also highlighted the need for affordable loans for women under the Jeevika group. Instead of the current 2% monthly interest, the Jan Suraj government plans to offer capital at an annual interest rate of 4%, helping women in villages become self-reliant through business and employment opportunities.
Another major proposal is providing labor support to farmers growing cash crops such as vegetables and spices. Kishore explained that the government would cover the labor costs for these farmers, reducing their financial burden and increasing their profits.
The padyatra, which began from Jeevchhapur village in Supaul’s Chhatapur block, continued through several villages, where Kishore interacted with locals and was welcomed with flowers, drums, and fireworks at various points along the route.
