Patna: In the midst of the ongoing political turbulence in Bihar, marked by speculations of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar contemplating another political shift, attention now turns to the eagerly awaited visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sugauli block in Motihari on February 4.

As news of the Prime Minister’s impending arrival spread, a flurry of preparations unfolded, involving both administrative authorities and public representatives. The venue’s cleanliness has become a focal point, prompting increased visits from District Magistrate (DM), Superintendent of Police (SP), and other officials to ensure meticulous arrangements.

To expedite the preparations, four to five JCBs and Poklane dumpers have been deployed, aiming to complete five days’ worth of work within a single day.

Member of Parliament Sanjay Jaiswal disclosed that Prime Minister Modi’s itinerary includes inaugurating the Indian Premier League (IPL), five over bridges, and a national highway from Pipra Kothi to Raxaul. Additionally, the Prime Minister is slated to lay the foundation stone for various schemes. This visit will mark the initiation of the campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with an anticipated attendance of over 1.5 lakh people. Preparations for this sizable gathering are already underway.

According to available information, the Prime Minister is expected to spend one and a half hours at Chapra Vahash on February 4, presenting schemes as gifts to the people of Bihar, including those in Champaran. DM Saurabh Jorwal and SP Kantesh Mishra are actively engaged in orchestrating a seamless reception for the Prime Minister, personally overseeing the preparations in the area.
