Punjab Defeats Bihar by 6 Wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Patna: Punjab secured a comprehensive six-wicket victory over Bihar in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 match played at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. Bihar, after winning the toss and electing to bat, posted 113 for 6 in 20 overs, which Punjab chased down in just 9.4 overs, scoring 114 for 4. Punjab earned the full four points, and Harpreet Brar was named Player of the Match for his excellent bowling performance.
For Bihar, the top scorers were Captain Sakibul Gani with 27, Himanshu Singh with an unbeaten 20, and Kumar Rajneesh, who remained not out at 19. Punjab’s bowlers dominated the innings, with Harpreet Brar taking 3 wickets for 18 runs, Ramandeep Singh claiming 2 for 6, and Baltej Singh picking up 1 for 23.
In response, Punjab’s batting lineup proved too strong for Bihar. Prabhsimran Singh top-scored with 38, while Captain Abhishek Sharma contributed 33 runs. Anmolpreet Singh remained unbeaten on 14 as Punjab sealed the win with ease. For Bihar, Nawaz Khan impressed with 2 wickets for 24 runs, while Himanshu Singh and Sachin Kumar Singh claimed one wicket each.
Bihar will face Meghalaya in their next match on November 27, looking to bounce back after this defeat. Punjab, riding high on their win, continues their campaign with momentum.
