The journey commenced in Sasaram with Rahul and Tejashwi Yadav seen together in a red-colored jeep, symbolizing solidarity. Tejashwi took the wheel, covering approximately 4 km from Jamuhar to the SP Jain College in Sasaram.
This meeting marks the first meeting between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi since Nitish Kumar’s exit from the INDIA alliance. Both leaders participated in the Kisan Nyay Mahapanchayat in Tekari, where Tejashwi criticized CM Nitish as a tired Chief Minister and accused PM Modi of running a factory of lies.
During the Kaimur meeting, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the extensive journey, covering four thousand kilometers. He emphasized the dominance of Modi on channels, while other notable figures like the Khans, Aishwarya Rai, and Amitabh Bachchan are frequently showcased. Rahul expressed the need for visibility, prompting the decision to travel on foot.
Emphasizing unity and love, Rahul Gandhi addressed the army recruitment issue, stating that recruitment is not happening, resulting in the neglect of Agniveer warriors and regular army personnel. He reiterated the commitment to conduct a caste census and provide a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers if his party comes to power.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi announced her inability to participate in the Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh due to illness. She assured her return once she feels better.
Tejashwi Yadav, addressing the crowd, presented a choice between a party that divides India and one that unites. He pledged to work towards ousting BJP and Narendra Modi from power in 2024, despite the challenges.
As the Nyay Yatra progresses, a slight change in the route for entering Madhya Pradesh has been announced, with the journey now scheduled to reach Kanpur on the 21st February before entering Rajasthan via Moradabad on the 24th February.
