Rahul Gandhi Maintains Silence on Nitish Kumar in Kishanganj Nyay Yatra, Focuses Solely on Critique of RSS-BJP
Kishanganj: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra made its way into Bihar, with Rahul reaching Kishanganj from North Dinajpur in Bengal today. Speaking at a public meeting in the city’s stadium, Rahul Gandhi took aim at the ideologies of the RSS and BJP, accusing them of fostering violence and hatred in the country. Surprisingly, in his 4-minute speech, Rahul Gandhi refrained from addressing the newly formed government in Bihar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Despite expectations that Rahul would launch a vigorous attack on Nitish and the current NDA government, he concentrated his criticism solely on the RSS and BJP.
Rahul emphasized how the prevailing ideology has fueled conflicts between brothers, people of different religions, and linguistic groups. He urged for a shift towards love in a country that, according to him, is known for its inherent sense of love.
Asserting the impact of the Nyay Yatra on Indian politics, Rahul presented it as a counter-narrative to the BJP’s daily promotion of an ideology rooted in hatred and violence. He stated, “No matter how hard you try, hatred cannot be cut, only love can cut hatred.”
Thousands of Congress workers gathered near the bus stand to welcome Rahul, prompting the deployment of an adequate number of police forces for security.
Addressing the people at Chandni Chowk in the city, Rahul accused the RSS of spreading hatred and announced that the Nyaya Yatra was initiated to spread love among the people. “There should be a shop of love in the market of hatred,” he reiterated.
Rahul’s itinerary also included a visit to the world-famous Maa Khadgeshwari Kali temple in Kishanganj, where he worshiped Mother Kali and Baba Khadgeshwar Nath. The temple visit drew a large crowd of Congress supporters.
The Congress leader’s arrival in Araria witnessed a warm welcome from thousands of people along a 2-kilometer stretch. Rahul is scheduled to stay in Bihar for two days, during which he will cover a distance of 425 kilometers across seven districts, concluding with a public meeting in Purnia on Tuesday. The Nyay Yatra, with its focus on ideological nuances, continues to capture attention as it traverses through Bihar’s political landscape.
