Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to Arrive in Kishanganj on January 29, Covering 425 Kilometers Across 4 Districts; CM Nitish Kumar Declines Attendance
Patna: The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, spearheaded by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, is poised to make its way into Bihar on January 29. This significant journey will commence at Farangola Chowk on the Bihar-Bengal border in Kishanganj. Covering a distance of 425 km across 7 districts in 4 days, Rahul Gandhi’s yatra aims to address the issues facing the people of Bihar.
While Rahul Gandhi extended an invitation to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to join the yatra, the Chief Minister has unequivocally declined the offer. The Congress party has officially confirmed Nitish Kumar’s decision not to participate in the yatra.
In response, a Congress leader revealed that an invitation was extended to the Chief Minister for an event related to Rahul Gandhi’s visit, but the Janata Dal United (JDU) has made it clear that Nitish Kumar will not be present at the program.
Highlighting the political significance of the padyatra in Seemanchal, the Congress leader emphasized that Rahul Gandhi intends to escalate the Lok Sabha election campaign through this initiative. Asitnath Tiwari, Congress state spokesperson, asserted that Rahul Gandhi is championing the cause of countless people in India who have fallen victim to injustice.
Tiwari added, “In such a situation, those who stand for justice for the victims will stand with Rahul Gandhi, and those who support the perpetrators of injustice will choose a separate path.” The padyatra is expected to be a platform for Gandhi to connect with the masses, mobilizing support and addressing the grievances of those who have faced injustice. As Bihar braces for the arrival of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, political dynamics in the state are set to undergo a noteworthy shift.
