Railway Protection Force in Muzaffarpur Cracks Down on Illegal E-ticket Business, Agent Arrested
MUZAFFARPUR – In a concerted effort to enhance the ease and comfort of train travel for passengers, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Muzaffarpur has initiated “Operation Available Days” targeting the availability of rail tickets. This operation includes a rigorous campaign to dismantle the illegal trade of e-tickets, resulting in a significant breakthrough for the RPF team.
Acting on confidential information, the RPF conducted a raid in Repura Rampur, Amaitha Panchayat, unearthing an illicit e-rail ticket operation housed in a room near the Airtel Tower. The operation led to the arrest of a businessman in possession of a substantial number of illegal railway tickets.
During the raid, the RPF team seized fifty illegal e-rail tickets, along with three specialized software tools—Nexa, Gadar, and Tej—utilized in the creation of these tickets. The confiscated tickets are estimated to have a value of Rs 1 lakh thirty. Additionally, the team recovered computers, laptops, printers, and personal identification documents belonging to numerous individuals from the premises.
Roshan Chaudhary, a 30-year-old ticket broker and resident of Munja Pattrahiya Ward 13, Saraiya police station, Muzaffarpur, has been apprehended in connection with this illegal business. The RPF team is currently conducting thorough interrogations to gather more information about the operation and those involved.
