Ram Vilas Paswan Statue Defaced in Gaya: Authorities Launch Investigation
Gaya: The statue of late LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan in Gaya’s Atari assembly constituency was damaged by unidentified individuals on Saturday night. Both hands of the statue were broken, and the face was defaced. Installed two years ago by MP Chirag Paswan, the vandalization of the statue has sparked anger among LJP (Ram Vilas) leaders, who are calling it a political conspiracy.
A case has been registered in Neemchak Bathani, and the district police are actively investigating the incident. Senior Superintendent of Police Ashish Bharti has ordered an investigation, and the damaged statue has already been repaired. The police are working to identify the culprits behind the act.
Arun Bharti, LJP (Ram Vilas) MP from Jamui and son-in-law of Ram Vilas Paswan, expressed his concern over the incident, stating that it was an attempt to disrupt the peace. He added that the party would approach the Chief Minister to demand strict action against the perpetrators.
LJP leader Arvind Singh also condemned the incident, labeling it a political conspiracy and calling for a thorough investigation to ensure that the culprits face consequences. Meanwhile, HAM party spokesperson Shyam Sundar Sharan described the act as cowardly and reiterated the need for strict action against those responsible.
