Ravi Shankar Prasad Lays Foundation Stone for Bar Association Building in Patna Civil Court
Patna: Patna Sahib MP and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad inaugurated the commencement of construction for the Bar Association building of the Civil Court in Patna, within the Bankipur Assembly constituency, as part of his parliamentary endeavors.
Present at the ceremony were distinguished figures including Honorable Justice Ashutosh Kumar, Justice Anjani Sharan, Justice Rajesh Verma, District and Sessions Judge Rupesh Dev, Bankipur MLA Nitin Nabin , Bar Association President Amarnath, and Bar Association Secretary Shri A, along with numerous senior advocates such as Ashok Kumar Yadav.
Addressing the gathering, Prasad highlighted his efforts in initiating the construction of advocate chambers at Patna Civil Court, amounting to a budget of Rs 21 crore. “It was my commitment during the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha elections to facilitate this construction, and today, we witness its commencement,” remarked Prasad.
He added: “This undertaking, undertaken in collaboration with the Bihar government during my tenure as the Law Minister, signifies a significant milestone. Spanning an area of 30,920 square meters and comprising three floors, the building will feature a spacious hall, library, canteen, and other amenities catering to 123 advocates.”
The project’s initiation marks a significant step towards enhancing infrastructure for legal practitioners, aligning with Prasad’s pledge to bolster the legal ecosystem within his constituency.
