Patna: Patna Sahib MP and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed his gratitude to National Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for approving Rs 2007 crore for the construction of a 13-kilometer elevated road from Anishabad to NH-30 in Patna. The financial approval for the project has been granted, and work on the detailed project report has commenced.
Prasad highlighted the severe traffic congestion on NH-30, particularly due to the presence of several schools, which has made commuting a challenge. After conducting a technical review, he found that an elevated road from Anishabad to Gurudwara Mor near Didarganj was the best solution. Prasad had previously raised this issue with Gadkari and had sent multiple correspondences on the matter.
The new elevated road will allow heavy vehicles, including buses, trucks, and cars, to bypass the traffic jams below and travel directly to destinations like Fatua, Bakhtiyarpur, and Mokama. Prasad thanked Gadkari for his support and expressed hope that the project will be completed soon, bringing much-needed relief to Patna’s traffic woes.
In addition to this, Prasad has requested the connection of NH-83 (Punpun) to NH-30 (Didarganj) by expanding the existing safety dam road. He emphasized that this expansion would act as a ring road for Patna, greatly reducing the number of vehicles entering the city and promoting development in the rural areas of the region.
