Reservation Committee Chair Reviews Policy Implementation at Bihar Agricultural University

Sabour: Anamika Singh, chairperson of the Reservation Implementation Committee of the Bihar Legislative Council, visited Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, today to review the implementation of reservation policies for teaching and non-teaching staff. Expressing satisfaction with the system in place, she commended the university’s adherence to reservation norms.

During her visit, Singh observed various academic and research activities and held a meeting with the university’s directors and deans. The discussion, attended by Vice-Chancellor Dr D.R. Singh and senior officials, focused on the institution’s ongoing initiatives and policies.

She also toured the SabAgris unit, which promotes agri-startups, and took stock of the entrepreneurial work being undertaken. Later, she met with women professors to understand their concerns and noted her appreciation for the university’s efforts in ensuring a supportive work environment for female employees.

At the Directorate of Extension Education, Singh interacted with trainee scientists from different states under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and discussed their experiences.

Praising the university’s research and outreach efforts, she also watched Safarnaama, a documentary showcasing the institution’s achievements. She lauded the contributions of scientists and officials in advancing agricultural research and innovation.
