RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Admitted to Paras HMRI Hospital in Patna After Health Deteriorates

Patna: RJD President Lalu Prasad’s health suddenly worsened, leading to his admission to Paras HMRI Hospital in Patna. Initially, preparations were being made to take him to Delhi for treatment, but due to his deteriorating condition, he was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon. His younger son, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, took him there for immediate medical attention.
Lalu has been under constant medical supervision since his kidney transplant. Earlier in the day, arrangements were being made to shift him to Delhi via air ambulance. However, as his condition worsened, doctors decided to admit him to Paras HMRI Hospital for urgent care. Despite undergoing a kidney transplant in Singapore, he has remained under the observation of doctors from AIIMS Delhi.
It is reported that Lalu’s sugar level is high, and he is battling around 11 other diseases. He was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2022, with only 25% of his kidneys functioning properly. Doctors had advised a transplant, and his daughter Rohini Acharya, who lives in Singapore, donated one of her kidneys to him. The transplant was successfully conducted on 5 December 2022.
Since then, Lalu has been receiving continuous medical care. His recent health setback has raised concerns among his supporters and party members, as he continues to fight multiple health complications. Doctors are closely monitoring his condition at Paras HMRI Hospital in Patna.
