RJD Leader Faces Legal Hurdle as Patna High Court Stops Construction on Hajipur Land
Patna: Patna High Court has immediately halted the construction work undertaken by RJD leader Vinod Kumar Srivastava on the Kaisar-e-Hind (government) land located at Anwarpur Chowk in Hajipur (Vaishali).
The court has directed the District Magistrate of Vaishali to respond by the first week of January. This order came during the hearing of Aditya Alok’s petition in a single bench presided over by Justice Sandeep Kumar.
The petitioner’s advocate, Abhishek, explained that the land where RJD leader Vinod Kumar Srivastava is constructing a mall belongs to Kaisar-e-Hind, and only the government has authority over this land.
Vinod Kumar Srivastava, a goods manufacturer and former personal assistant to RJD chief Lalu Prasad, is accused of acquiring the land papers through forgery.
Srivastava also holds a position in the RJD and contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from East Champaran on an RJD ticket. He was again nominated as a candidate in the 2015 assembly elections, where he faced defeat.
