Roads, Rails, and Beyond In Bihar: Prime Minister Modi To Inaugurate, Lay Foundation Stone Of Projects Worth Rs 12,800 Crores
Patna – In a monumental endeavor aimed at transforming the infrastructure landscape of Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for a series of high-impact development projects totaling approximately Rs. 12,800 crores in Bihar on March 6 at around 3.30 pm. The program will be organized in Bettiah.
The prime focus of this multifaceted initiative is to bolster the rail, road, and petroleum sectors, reinforcing the government’s commitment to comprehensive development in the region.
Key Infrastructure Projects:
Indian Oil’s Muzaffarpur: Motihari LPG Pipeline Inauguration: The Prime Minister will inaugurate the 109 km long Indian Oil’s Muzaffarpur – Motihari LPG Pipeline, a vital project that will facilitate access to cleaner cooking fuel not only within Bihar but also extending its reach to neighboring Nepal. Additionally, the dedication of Indian Oil’s LPG Bottling Plant and storage terminal at Motihari is anticipated to streamline the supply chain, benefiting eight districts in North Bihar.
City Gas Distribution and Ethanol Projects: The foundation stone for the City Gas Distribution project in East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, and Deoria, along with Grain-based Ethanol Projects at HBL’s Sugauli and Lauriya, will be laid by the Prime Minister, underlining the government’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Road Infrastructure: Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate road projects, including the two-laning of Piprakothi – Motihari – Raxaul section of NH – 28A with paved shoulder, and the two-laning of the Sheohar-Sitamarhi section of NH-104. The foundation stone for the construction of a six-lane Cable Bridge on the Ganga River parallel to the Digha-Sonepur Rail-cum-Road Bridge at Patna, and the four-laning of Bakarpur Hat- Manikpur section of NH-19 Bypass, will also be laid.
Railway Developments: The Prime Minister will dedicate the doubling of the 62 km rail line from Bapudham Motihari to Piprahan and inaugurate the Narkatiaganj-Gaunaha Gauge Conversion, among other significant railway projects. Furthermore, the foundation stone for the doubling and electrification of the 96 km long Gorakhpur Cantt– Valmiki Nagar rail line and the redevelopment of the Bettiah railway station will be laid. Two new train services between Narkatiaganj – Gaunaha and Raxaul – Jogbani will also be flagged off during the event.
