Robbery at Finance Company in Gaya: Rs 3 Lakh Looted, 3 People Shot
Gaya: A daylight robbery took place at a private finance company, IBM Future Nidhi, in Gaya, where a group of 10 armed criminals looted approximately ₹3 lakh and opened fire, injuring three people. The incident occurred in Khajahapur, within the Buniyadganj police station area.
The director of the finance company, Ranvijay Singh, sustained a serious gunshot wound near his eye and has been referred to a higher medical center. Two other victims, Rakesh and his sister Neha, who live in a rented apartment in the same building, were also injured in the firing.
According to Goswami, an employee of the company, the robbery took place shortly after the bank opened at 10 a.m. While the staff were engaged in their routine work, 10 masked men entered the premises, holding everyone hostage at gunpoint. The criminals confiscated the employees’ mobile phones and looted the cash.
As the robbers were attempting to flee, Ranvijay Singh entered the building, prompting the criminals to open fire. Singh was hit by a bullet in the chest, while Rakesh and Neha, who were nearby, were also shot. After committing the crime, the assailants fled the scene.
Gaya Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ashish Bharti confirmed the robbery and said, “A robbery has taken place at the finance company in Khajahapur. The police are investigating the matter, and an SIT (Special Investigation Team) has been formed. The criminals will be apprehended soon.”
Four individuals were injured in the attack, with one critically wounded and referred to a higher medical facility, while the others are receiving treatment.
