Sabour: Sabour Agri Incubators (SABAGRIS) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with 10 emerging startups to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the agriculture sector. These startups have collectively received over Rs 1.4 crore in funding under the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme (AOP) and Startup Agri-Incubation Programme (SAIP). The initiative aims to support agri-tech solutions and strengthen the rural economy.

Driving Agricultural Innovation

Dr D.R. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour, said: “SABAGRIS has further solidified its role in agricultural innovation. These 10 startups will help increase farmers’ income and position agriculture as a profitable business. Our vision is to contribute to ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ through these entrepreneurial ventures.”

Dr Anil Kumar Singh, Nodal Officer, SABAGRIS, added: “SABAGRIS has incubated over 100 startups since its inception. This partnership will boost innovation and create employment opportunities in the agriculture ecosystem. Our goal is to make agritech accessible while empowering rural youth to become self-reliant.”

The selected startups are introducing cutting-edge solutions in agriculture and allied industries, including:

  • Drone technology for precision farming and automation.
  • Smart agriculture infrastructure to enhance crop yields.
  • Flax seed-based products, including handmade cosmetic soaps.
  • Financial assistance platforms to support sustainable farming.
  • Agricultural waste management, converting waste into eco-friendly fuel briquettes.
  • Mobile applications for crop monitoring, pest control, and market linkages.
  • Sustainable animal feed, including dried fodder from wheat straw.
  • Women-friendly agricultural machinery, such as electric-powered fodder cutters and maize threshers.
