Patna: Bihar secured a commanding 103-run win over Mizoram in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 cricket match, thanks to an unbeaten century by Sakibul Gani and strong performances by Bipin Saurabh and Gajendra Singh. Sakibul Gani was named Man of the Match for his brilliant 120-run knock.

In the match held at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, Bihar chose to bat first after winning the toss and posted an impressive 199/2 in their allotted 20 overs. Sakibul Gani dazzled with 120 runs off 66 balls, including 13 fours and 5 sixes, while Vipin Saurabh added an unbeaten 51 off 29 balls with 4 sixes and 2 fours. Ankit Singh contributed 12, and Ayush Loharika chipped in 8 runs. Mizoram bowlers K. Vanrotlinga and Bobby managed one wicket each.

Chasing a target of 200, Mizoram struggled against Bihar’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for just 96 runs in 15 overs. Jehu Anderson, KC Karippa, and Mohit Jangra were the top scorers for Mizoram, managing 18, 18, and 14 runs, respectively. For Bihar, Gajendra Singh led the bowling with figures of 4/21 in 4 overs, supported by Himanshu Singh (2/8 in 3 overs), Amod Yadav (2/30 in 3 overs), Nawaz Khan (1/15 in 2 overs), and Sachin Kumar Singh (1/2 in 1 over).

Bihar’s comprehensive performance with both bat and ball secured a morale-boosting victory. Their next match is scheduled against Bengal on December 3.
