Secretary V. Srinivas Visits Bihar to Review Administrative Reforms and Public Service Acts
Patna: V. Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare, Government of India, conducted a study tour in Bihar to review the implementation of the Bihar Right to Public Grievances Redressal Act and the Bihar Right to Public Services Act. He was joined by senior officials from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, including Punit Yadav, Sarita Chauhan, Subhashish Das, and H.K. Bhatt.
During meetings at the Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society, discussions were held with Dr. B. Rajender, Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, and Dr. Pratima, Additional Mission Director, among others. The focus was on the timely delivery of services and grievance redressal mechanisms. Srinivas praised Bihar for being the only state with a dedicated grievance redressal act, calling it a model for other states.
The delegation visited the State Public Grievance Receipt Center at Suchna Bhawan in Patna to study the online complaint management system and observed the hearing process conducted by the District Public Grievance Redressal Officer at the Patna Collectorate. Srinivas commended Bihar’s use of technology and commitment to administrative reforms.
The high-level team later met Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha to share insights from the visit. Srinivas lauded the state’s efforts in implementing innovative administrative practices and ensuring effective public service delivery.
