Senior Officials Review Preparations for Bihar Diwas 2025 Celebrations in Patna

Patna: Senior officials, including Bihar’s Additional Chief Secretary for Education, Dr S Siddharth, and Patna’s district magistrate and senior superintendent of police, inspected Gandhi Maidan on Friday to review preparations for Bihar Diwas 2025. The three-day celebrations, marking the state’s formation, will begin on Saturday.

The officials assessed logistical arrangements and conducted a joint briefing for magistrates and police officers, instructing them to ensure smooth crowd management, traffic control, and strict law enforcement. They were directed to remain at their designated sites until the event’s conclusion. To oversee security and coordination, a control room, temporary police station, and administrative office have been set up at Gandhi Maidan.

Bihar Diwas 2025 will be celebrated from March 22 to 24 across multiple venues, including Gandhi Maidan, Shri Krishna Memorial Hall, and Ravindra Bhawan. This year’s theme, Unnat Bihar Vikasit Bihar (Progressive and Developed Bihar), will be reflected in exhibitions, panel discussions, and cultural performances.

At Gandhi Maidan, pavilions have been set up for various government departments, including education, agriculture, labour, and disaster management. The Education Department is leading the event’s organisation, ensuring a diverse range of activities.

The celebrations will feature performances by renowned artists, a book fair, a food festival, and public lectures. A Mathematical Group Olympiad will be conducted for students from classes 6 to 12. The short film Kitabein Kaise Banti Hai, produced by Bihar State Textbook Publishing Corporation Limited, will also be screened.

To ensure visitor safety, medical teams, ambulances, first aid stations, and fire-fighting vehicles have been stationed at all venues. Security measures include the deployment of magistrates, police officers, and personnel at key locations, along with designated access provisions for VVIPs and special guests.

A 24/7 helpline has been set up for event-related information, accessible via the District Control Room at 0612-2219810/2219234 or emergency helpline 112.
