Bihta / Patna : A new shirt manufacturing company has begun operations in Sikandarpur, Bihta, aiming to produce garments that meet international standards. RK Industries, which formally launched on Friday, has already provided jobs to 100 people—over 60 of them women.

Equipped with 250 machines, the unit currently focuses on men’s shirts, with an emphasis on quality fabric, comfortable fitting, and region-specific design. The company aims to cater to customers across Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and neighbouring Nepal.

A phased expansion is planned by 2026, with the company targeting the installation of 500 machines and creating up to 1,200 jobs.

The facility was inaugurated by Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena. Senior officials including Industry Department Director Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar, BIADA Executive Director Chandrashekhar Singh, IDA Director Santosh Kumar, and RK Industries Director Kiran Agarwal were present at the launch.
