Six-Year-Old Boy Thrown into Nepal River in Shocking Revenge Case in Bihar

A child was kidnapped and thrown into a river in Nepal over a personal dispute in Bihar’s Raxaul town, police say.

Raxaul: In a heart-wrenching case from Motihari district, a six-year-old boy named Ayush was kidnapped and thrown into the Narayani River in Nepal. The incident happened in Raxaul and has shocked the local community. The child’s father, Prem Kumar, works as a health staff member in the local sub-divisional hospital. Police say the act was carried out as revenge over a personal relationship.

The accused, Manohar Sah, who lives in Jokiari Panchayat in Raxaul, was arrested by the police. During questioning, he confessed to kidnapping Ayush from his home on 28 May and later throwing him into the river from a bridge in Nepal. Police say Sah was upset because his wife, Renu Devi, who is an ASHA worker, was allegedly having an affair with Prem Kumar. The child’s father and Sah’s wife both worked at the same hospital.

The child’s disappearance was first reported on 28 May, and a formal police case was filed on 31 May. After Sah was arrested, he led police to the spot where he claimed to have thrown the boy. A search operation is ongoing in the Narayani River, but the child’s body has not yet been found. The police are also working with officials across the border in Nepal.

This shocking act has left the family of the child in deep grief. Locals in Raxaul are stunned by the cruel nature of the crime. Police say they are treating the case seriously and further investigation is underway to gather all the facts.
