Skechers launches its store in Patna City Centre Mall: Event offers community to join 1000km performance run at Skechers Community Goal Challenge
Patna: Skechers, The Comfort Technology Company celebrated its grand opening in the City Centre Mall on Thursday, with a successful challenge dedicated to the development of sports in the state, in alliance with The Youth Sports Welfare Foundation (YSWF-NGO).
Participants including cricketer Ishan Kishan and actress Nushratt Bharuccha communally completed 1000 kilometers run at the key Patna area store. The event inspired the community to reach the target of 1000 km, which culminated in the last kilometer, completed by Ishan Kishan and Nushratt Bharuccha.
Upon reaching the mark, Skechers donated shoes to the YSWF that provides the youth necessary resources, training and support for other sports disciplines.
Rahul Vira, CEO of Skechers Asia Pvt. Ltd., expresses how expanding their footprint in Patna with another store at City Centre Mall talks about their commitment towards bringing top-notch sportswear and reaching wider expectations. This community goal challenge was another way to connect with the local community while collaborating with the Youth Sports Welfare Foundation for youngsters to pursue their sports dreams. He also mentions how seeing everyone come together for such a meaningful cause was truly heartwarming.
Ishan Kishan, Indian Cricketer and Brand Ambassador for Skechers, said that participating in this Challenge was a rewarding experience for him, as the discussions around healthy lifestyles and dreams of underprivileged youth were inspiring to listen to. He says that he understands the importance of fitness and community support as he was happy to do this in his hometown and proud to be associated with Skechers for this contribution towards the society.
Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, shared her enthusiasm about participating in the Skechers event saying that Patna Community Goal Challenge was an experience worth seeing as the community came together to stay active and support such a worthy cause. She highlighted how this initiative not only brings the community together, but also promotes fitness, and supports the amazing efforts of the Youth Sports Welfare Foundation.
People were seen participating in different sports competitions happening at the event at its grand opening.
Moreover, the challenge that has had its editions previously held in cities like Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Pune, Siliguri and Dehradun leaves a successful footprint among local communities in Patna and continues to expand the journey of making further significant changes.
