Special Train Service Launched from Buxar for Kumbh Mela
Buxar: Two Trains to Operate on Main Bathing Dates with Night Return Facility. To facilitate travel for devotees attending the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, two special trains are being operated from Buxar. The services began on 18 January but will run only on key bathing dates, ensuring pilgrims can return the same night. The next scheduled departure for these trains is on 25 January.
The first train (03219) will depart from Patna for Prayagraj, reaching Buxar at 4:40 pm. Just five minutes later, the second train (05549) will arrive at Buxar at 4:45 pm. Both services are expected to reach Prayagraj by 10 pm.
The arrangement aims to accommodate passengers who might miss the first train, offering an alternative just minutes apart. The return journey from Prayagraj is scheduled for 10:35 pm, with an expected arrival in Buxar at 6:45 am.
Limited Service on Select Dates
The special trains will operate from Patna on select dates: 25, 26, and 27 January, as well as 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 18 February. Return journeys from Prayagraj to Buxar and Patna are scheduled on the same dates.
