Sports Camp at Patna Women’s College Inspires Girls with Fitness and Fun

Students learned Taekwondo, discus throw, and shot put during a day full of energy and teamwork at Patna Women’s College.

Patna: A sports camp held at Patna Women’s College brought together around 50 students for a day of fitness, learning, and fun. The day began with trainer Jyoti Kumari leading the students through jogging, warm-up exercises, and Taekwondo practice. The students followed her instructions with enthusiasm and energy, enjoying the chance to move and learn new skills.

In the second part of the camp, Dr Manjula Sushila, the college’s Sports Coordinator, introduced the students to two popular track and field events – discus throw and shot put. She explained the basics and showed how to perform the throws properly. Students got to try them out for themselves and were excited to learn something new.

Before the camp ended, students shared how much they enjoyed the experience. Many said it was their first time trying these sports and that they felt stronger and more confident. Some students, like Riya Nagvanshi, Khushi Xess, and Jagriti Kumari, were especially active and showed great interest in helping make the camp a success.

The college aims to continue such camps in the future, giving students more chances to stay fit, build teamwork, and explore sports beyond the classroom.
