Sri Sri Ravishankar Urges Meditation and Positivity at Bhagalpur Event

Bhagalpur/ Patna: Spiritual leader and Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar addressed a massive gathering at Sandis Compound Ground in Bhagalpur on Sunday, offering guidance on reducing stress and embracing a more fulfilling life.
During the Mahasatsang, organized by Art of Living and Samay Organization, Sri Sri emphasized the importance of breathing techniques and meditation in maintaining mental well-being. “Meditation calms the mind, sharpens intellect, and brings happiness. Pranayama is essential for a stress-free life,” he told the audience.
Overcoming Stress and Negativity
Sri Sri Ravishankar encouraged people to shift their focus away from complaints and negativity, warning that constant dissatisfaction leads to illness. He spoke about the five acts of God—creation, purification, dissolution, grace, and disappearance—and urged people to cultivate gratitude in their lives. “Live freely and embrace life with ease—this is the true art of living,” he said.
The Power of Devotion and Patience
Addressing the crowd from the stage, he spoke about the strength of devotion, urging people to stand firm in their happiness, unaffected by external influences. He also stressed patience in the face of challenges. “Problems always come with solutions. God gives burdens only to those who can bear them,” he said, using an analogy: “God gives animals tails so they can wag them easily.”
Praise for Indian Food Culture
Sri Sri also highlighted the superiority of traditional Indian food, advocating for a diet rich in nutrients and discouraging reliance on Western fast food. He spoke about Bihar’s famous dishes, including litti and baingan bharta, emphasizing that food provides not just nourishment but also strength. “Proper rest and sleep are equally important for maintaining energy and balance in life,” he added.
