State-Level Girls Under-19 Cricket Selection Competition Held at Patliputra Sports Complex

Patna: A one-day state-level girls under-19 cricket open selection competition was organized by the District Administration, Patna, on Friday at Patliputra Sports Complex, Kankarbagh, under the aegis of the Sports Department, Bihar, and Bihar State Sports Authority. Around 150 girl players from various districts of Bihar participated in the competition, showcasing their cricketing skills.

Om Prakash, District Sports Officer of Patna, informed that the selection was carried out under the supervision of a four-member selection committee, which included Manoj Kumar, Dhananjay Kumar, Rupak Kumar, and Shikha Sonia, all authorized by the Bihar Cricket Association. The players were selected based on their performance during the competition.

The selected team, which will represent Bihar in the upcoming National School Girls Under-19 Cricket Competition, includes players from different districts. The final team comprises Pratibha Sahni (Madhubani), Geetanjali Rani (Patna), Pushpanjali Kumari (East Champaran), Neha Yadav (Lakhisarai), Sakshi Rai Choudhary (Patna), Prachi Singh (Patna), Snehita Bharti (Madhubani), Neha Kumari (Patna), Vaishnavi Singh (Patna), Shreya Ramesh (Patna), Swarnima Chakraborty (Patna), Kahkashan Praveen (Madhepura), Kajal Kumari (Madhubani), Sonal Kumari (Siwan), Nainshi Kumari (Gaya), and Sweety Kumari (Gaya).

Additionally, the committee has selected the following players as reserves: Sneha Prakash (Patna), Sejal (Siwan), Varsha Kumari (Patna), Tejaswani (Buxar), Sakshi Singh (Patna), Preeti Kumari (Nalanda), Sanskriti Rukhiyar (Patna), Siddi Kumari (Patna), and Prachi Kumari (Patna).
