Chhapra: The Bhikhari Thakur Auditorium-cum-Art Gallery came alive with cheers and competitive spirit as nine school teams battled it out in the Saran Division Finals of Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025, Bihar’s flagship inter-school sports quiz contest.

After a tense preliminary round and six onstage qualifiers, the grand finale delivered both drama and brilliance. Taking home the top honours were Amit Kumar Prasad and Priyanshu Kumar of Lal Bahadur Shashtri Uccha Vidyalaya-cum-Inter College, Bagaura. Their impressive teamwork and sharp responses not only secured the championship but also raised the bar—with a preliminary round score of 22 out of 25, the highest across all three division finals held so far in Darbhanga, Tirhut and Saran.

The runner-up spot went to Akanksha Kumar and Adarsh Kumar of Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya, Amnaur, while Akash Kumar and Vaibhav Kumar of Visheshwar Seminary Inter-College, Chhapra, secured third place.

The event drew a host of dignitaries, including Saran District Magistrate Aman Samir, Deputy Development Commissioner Yatindra Pal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Lakshman Tiwari, NDC Ravi Prakash, District Programme Officer Priyanka Kumari, and Vibha Rani from the Department of Art and Culture. Their presence underscored the growing significance of co-curricular engagement in Bihar’s education landscape.

Launched as part of the state’s push to integrate sports awareness and general knowledge among students, the Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav encourages curiosity, confidence and team spirit. The next division-level final will be held in Bhagalpur on April 7.
