Students Tackle Cryptic Crosswords in Engaging Workshop in Bilaspur

Bilaspur: A cryptic crossword workshop and contest, organized by Extra-C, was held at The Jain International School in Bilaspur, offering students a unique opportunity to hone their problem-solving skills and delve into the art of cryptic crosswords.

Led by crossword expert Vinayak Ekbote, the session introduced participants to the fundamentals of cryptic clues, teaching them strategies to decipher their complexities. Ekbote’s interactive approach made the workshop both educational and enjoyable, captivating students with the intricacies of wordplay.

Following the workshop, a competitive crossword contest was held, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various grades. The winners of the contest were:

  • First place: Ansh Gupta and Raj Chandra (Class 8)
  • Second place: Abhayank Tiwari and Pranjal Pratap Singh (Class 9)
  • Third place: Divyansh Jaiswal and Adarsh Yadav (Class 8)

The event saw the presence of the school’s leadership team, including Principal Abhishek Naidu, Primary School Coordinator C. Brinda Jesica, and Senior School Coordinator Ashwini Kulkarni. Their encouragement and active participation were instrumental in the event’s success.
