Summer Travel Update: Special Trains Between Bihar and South India Extended

Muzaffarpur: In view of the continued passenger rush during the summer vacation, Indian Railways has extended the run of four pairs of special trains to ease travel for commuters, especially those from North Bihar, including Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga.
The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO), Saraswati Chandra, informed that the decision aims to provide relief to long-distance travelers heading to or from southern and western India.
Full Schedule of Extended Special Trains
- Train No. 07315 – Hubballi to Muzaffarpur Special
- Will run every Monday from 30 June to 25 August from Hubballi.
- Train No. 07316 – Muzaffarpur to Hubballi Special
- Will run every Thursday from 03 July to 28 August from Muzaffarpur.
- Train No. 07311 – Vasco da Gama to Muzaffarpur Special
- Will run every Monday from 30 June to 25 August from Vasco da Gama.
- Train No. 07312 – Muzaffarpur to Vasco da Gama Special
- Will run every Thursday from 03 July to 28 August from Muzaffarpur.
- Train No. 06563 – Yeshwantpur to Gaya Special
- Will run every Saturday from 05 July to 26 July from Yeshwantpur.
- Train No. 06564 – Gaya to Yeshwantpur Special
- Will run every Monday from 07 July to 28 July from Gaya.
- Train No. 06211 – Mysore to Darbhanga Special
- Will run every Tuesday from 01 July to 26 August from Mysore.
- Train No. 06212 – Darbhanga to Mysore Special
- Will run every Saturday from 05 July to 30 August from Darbhanga.
Passenger Convenience First
Railway officials said the decision was taken based on sustained demand for seats on these long-distance routes, especially among families and migrant workers traveling during vacation.
The extension of these services will ensure better connectivity between South and North India and reduce crowding in regular trains, particularly on peak days.
Passengers are advised to check real-time schedules and book tickets in advance via the IRCTC portal or authorized counters to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
