Teej Mahotsav Brings Colour and Culture to Patna

Patna: The Hamjoli Club celebrated Teej Mahotsav with vibrant festivities on August 25 at Gargi Grand Hotel, Patna. The event, marked by colourful traditions and deep camaraderie among its members, showcased the rich cultural heritage of Bihar.
The celebration began with the worship of Shankar and Parvati, followed by traditional Bihari folk songs. The women of the club adorned themselves with bangles and mehendi, dancing and enjoying the festive spirit together. Ritu Chaudhary was crowned Sawan Queen, with Sangeeta and Neelam taking second and third places respectively. The audience was captivated by Aparajita Sharma Ranjan’s performance of Bihari folk music, while Dolly Pinky and Seema added to the festivities with their energetic dance performances.
Beyond the celebrations, the Hamjoli Club is deeply committed to social work. The club’s members are actively involved in various initiatives, including the production of cloth items for charitable purposes and participation in the Ganga cleaning efforts. In Mushari Tola, the club focuses on improving education, providing clothing, and offering grants for children, pledging to continue their support in the future.
