Teenager Shot Dead in Patna After Dispute Over PUBG, Police Suspect Love Triangle

Patna : An 18-year-old boy was shot dead in Patna following a dispute, with reports suggesting the altercation stemmed from an argument over playing PUBG. The incident occurred in the Maula Bagh area under Phulwari Sharif police station late on Monday night.
The victim, identified as Mohammad Afroz, was allegedly shot twice by his friend, Mohammad Chotu, with one bullet striking him in the head. Locals rushed to the scene upon hearing gunshots and took Afroz to AIIMS, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
According to local residents, the two had fought over PUBG just two days prior to the shooting. However, police believe the motive may be linked to a love affair.
Police launch search for accused
Phulwari Sharif Police Sub-Divisional Officer Sushil Kumar confirmed that the incident involved two friends and that the investigation is considering all possible angles.
“The preliminary inquiry suggests this may be a case of a love affair. The body has been sent for postmortem, and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused,” he said.
