Patna: The divorce case between Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya Rai is set to be heard today in Patna Civil Court. The case will be taken up by the Principal Judge. In the last hearing, Aishwarya’s lawyer had asked for four more weeks, but Tej Pratap’s lawyer opposed the delay. The court then fixed June 21 as the next date for hearing. This case has not only affected the Yadav family personally but has also drawn attention in political circles.
Tej Pratap, son of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, recently posted a strong message on social media. He expressed disappointment at not being invited to the RJD’s Rajya Parishad meeting. In his emotional post, he said his silence should not be seen as weakness and that his future will now be decided by the public and the Supreme Court, not by any political party or his own family. His message shows that the family conflict is now becoming public.
The situation got worse after a video of Tej Pratap with a woman named Anushka Yadav went viral. Following this, Lalu Prasad reportedly expelled him from both the party and the family on May 26. Tej Pratap was also not invited to a major RJD meeting held at Gyan Bhawan. His absence at such an important event showed that he is being kept away from party matters.
After the video came out, Aishwarya Rai also spoke to the media. She asked why she was made to marry Tej Pratap when he had been in a relationship with someone else for 12 years. She made an emotional appeal to the Lalu family, asking them to support her in the name of social justice. At the same time, Anushka’s brother also demanded justice from Lalu and Tejashwi Yadav. The case has now raised serious questions about both personal relationships and political unity in the Yadav family.
