Patna: Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday led a candle march in Patna to protest against the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and to pay tribute to the victims. The march, organised by the Mahagathbandhan, commenced from the JP statue at Income Tax Golambar and culminated at Dak Bungalow Square.
Addressing the gathering, Yadav condemned the attack as an “incident that shames man and humanity,” adding that no words of condemnation could truly suffice. He expressed support for any measures taken by the Government of India to eradicate terrorism and emphasised that national security transcends political boundaries.
“We have all come together today not only to mourn the deceased but to stand in solidarity with their families,” he said. Yadav also recalled the all-party meeting held a day earlier, stating that opposition parties have assured the government of their full support in the fight against terrorism.
