Patna: Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, has unveiled a new digital initiative aimed at mobilising grassroots support ahead of the upcoming state elections. The portal, www.Tejashwidigitalforce.in, was launched in Patna as part of what he described as a “volunteer-driven movement to build a new Bihar”.
“This is a call to action,” Yadav said at the launch event. “Through this portal, we will take our vision and plans directly to the people. Volunteers can register, support us online, and help shape a progressive future for Bihar.”
The launch comes amid growing political tension, with Tejashwi Prasad Yadav intensifying his criticism of the Nitish Kumar-led government. He accused the state leadership of failing the people over the last two decades, claiming that “there is no trust left in this dilapidated government”.
He also took aim at the Chief Minister, alleging that the administration is out of touch with the public. “The Chief Minister is in an unconscious state, unaware of the real issues on the ground,” he said. “This government has no vision. The people of Bihar are ready for change.” Reflecting on his brief stint in government, the RJD leader said, “In 17 months, we could barely begin our work. We did not even achieve two percent of our goals. Bihar needs industry, jobs, and a new direction.”
In a wide-ranging address, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav also addressed ongoing controversies, including his accusations against state officials. He claimed that his correspondence with the Chief Minister has gone unanswered, implying that “the silence confirms the allegations”. Referring to a case involving the PMCH Superintendent, IAS Thakur, he said, “No one touches him — I know why. But that will change when we return to power.” He further criticised what he described as the state’s preference for “corrupt officers” and the sidelining of honest officials. “Good officers are being removed, while the corrupt remain protected,” he alleged.
He also also reiterated his party’s stance on historical issues, defending his father Lalu Prasad Yadav against allegations of disrespect towards Dr B.R. Ambedkar. “Laluji has never insulted anyone,” he said, while questioning Union Minister Amit Shah’s silence on various matters.
