Tejashwi Yadav Challenges Nitish-BJP Alliance, Warns of Loyalty Risks Ahead of Bihar Elections
Purnia: Addressing a nomination meeting at Rangbhoomi Maidan, Former Deputy Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav made striking remarks regarding the political landscape in Bihar just ahead of the elections. He highlighted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s alliance with the BJP, cautioning that Prime Minister Modi cannot guarantee his loyalty. Yadav emphasized these points while enumerating the achievements of his 17-month tenure.
In his address, Yadav fiercely criticized both the BJP and JDU, questioning the absence of significant industrial development in Purnia despite their long-term representation in the region. He pointed out the lack of major factories in Purnia, despite promises made by BJP leaders. Yadav accused the BJP of making false promises and neglecting the welfare of the people.
Yadav further lambasted BJP’s economic policies, alleging that the party favours the wealthy while neglecting the plight of the poor. He credited Congress for initiating the Food for Work Scheme, despite BJP’s claims of providing food grains to the needy. Yadav highlighted his government’s commitment to job creation, contrasting it with Nitish Kumar’s tenure, claiming to have provided more employment opportunities in 17 months than Kumar did in 17 years.
Appealing to the youth for leadership and advocating for RJD’s candidate Bima Bharti, Yadav urged the public to support RJD’s cause. The nomination meeting witnessed the presence of RJD, Congress, several MLAs from Left parties, former MPs, ministers, and leaders from various constituent parties.
