Tejashwi Yadav Embarks on ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ to Rally Support in Bihar
Sitamarhi: RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav commenced his ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ from Muzaffarpur on Tuesday, aiming to garner the trust and support of the people of Bihar. The yatra, spanning across 33 districts of the state, is scheduled to conclude in Banka on March 1.
Addressing the gathering, Tejashwi emphatically asserted that the RJD is not merely his (MY) party but stands as a representative of the masses. He elucidated the acronym ‘BAAP’ as symbolizing the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s commitment to inclusivity and welfare – ‘B’ for Bahujan, ‘A’ for forward, ‘A’ for half the population, and ‘P’ for party of the poor.
Directing his criticism towards the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tejashwi challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of political alliances, questioning whether he could guarantee the loyalty of his coalition partners. Yadav labeled Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, as an ‘uncle’ and an elder figure, signaling his intent to lead the political front.
In his fiery speech, Tejashwi launched scathing attacks on both the central and state governments, highlighting the disparity between their promises and actions. He accused Nitish Kumar of lacking a vision for Bihar’s development and emphasized his party’s track record of job creation and infrastructure improvement during their previous tenure.
Drawing attention to his government’s achievements, Tejashwi underscored the significant investments made in various sectors, including tourism and infrastructure. He cited the allocation of funds for the construction of a new temple dedicated to Mata Sita in Sitamarhi as an example of his administration’s commitment to religious and cultural development.
During the rally, Tejashwi also took aim at the Deputy Chief Ministers of the BJP-led government, reiterating his party’s primary adversary as the BJP itself. He highlighted the RJD’s past initiatives in job creation and criticized the incumbent government’s failure to match their accomplishments.
Following his address in Sitamarhi, Tejashwi proceeded to Sheohar, where he will spend the night before continuing his yatra. The ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ signifies Yadav’s concerted effort to galvanize support and present a formidable challenge to the ruling establishment in Bihar.
